Friends Life Launches Group Risk Proposition
01/08/2011
Following on from the acquisition of BUPA's Group Risk business late last year, Friends Life has completed the integration of both businesses and is now offering a new suite of products under the new Friends Life brand.
The range brings together elements of the offering from both Bupa Health Assurance and the legacy Friends Provident brand, which will include Group Life, Group Critical Illness Cover and Group Income Protection.
Members of a Group Income Protection scheme will be given access to an EAP free of charge whilst a second medical opinion service 'Best Doctors' will be available to members of Group Critical Illness schemes.
Steve Payne, managing director of protection at Friends Life, said protection was “central to Friends Life’s strategy.”
“We have a significant market presence, and a strong new suite of group protection products to support all of our partners effectively,” he said.
Friends Life currently has more than 6,000 group risk schemes with 600,000 customers.
